Shooting underwater is a challenge, but when done well the end results are amazing. The biggest difficulty when underwater is light. Light travels differently underwater; this means that colors, shadows, and reflections are completely different. I love shooting underwater because it is both challenging technically and also creatively. When shooting underwater, my goal is to photograph a new world and create stunning images that wouldn't be possible above the surface.
